The ASSE Foundation offers a few fun and healthy events for Safety 2018 participants to attend including the More Fun Than Run 5K and the 12th Annual Safety Matters Golf Outing.

A participant of the 11th Annual Safety Matters Golf Outing in Denver.

Whether you are a racer or an onlooker, the inaugural 5K run, which will be held on Tuesday, June 5 at 5:30 p.m., is a great way to see the beautiful city of San Antonio, TX. In addition, the run supports the ASSE Foundation’s Safety Matters Fund, the Foundation’s signature fund that gives aid to college students pursuing a career in safety, health and environmental professions in addition to providing support to families that have lost loved ones in workplace incidents. Participants will receive a complementary T-shirt and gift bag.

The Foundation will also host its annual Safety Matters golf outing on Sunday, June 3 beginning at 8 a.m. The site for this year’s outing is the Brackenridge Park Golf Course, the oldest 18-hole public course in Texas. Funds from this event also support the Foundation’s Safety Matters Fund.

For both events, registration is available on the Safety 2018 website when you register for the conference. ASSE chapters are encouraged to become sponsors. Sponsorship opportunities can be found here.
