ASSE Honors Kathy Seabrook & Nancy McWilliams as Fellows

In recognition of their service and dedication to the Society and the OSH profession, ASSE named Kathy A. Seabrook, CSP, CMIOSH, EurOSHM, and Nancy McWilliams, CSP, ARM, as ASSE Fellows. Candidates for Fellow are nominated by their peers, then are selected based on their commitments to the OSH profession and Society involvement. Seabrook and McWilliams will be honored as ASSE Fellows during Safety 2016 in Atlanta, GA.

SU_Kathy-SeabrookPast President Kathy A. Seabrook, CSP, CMIOSH, EurOSHM, is best known for her work in strategic/global OSH management. As president and founder of Global Solutions Inc., chair of the Board of Directors for the Center of Safety and Health Sustainability, an international speaker and leadership educator, Seabrook continuously works with multinational companies, across industry sectors, to strategically manage their safety and health risks and integrate safety and health into their business and sustainability strategies.

 

 

 

SU_McWilliams - DEE_050CropFor 32 years, Nancy J. McWilliams, CSP, ARM, provided risk management solutions in the public and federal sectors. Fifteen of those years were spent working for five federal agencies where she wrote policy and guidance documents that had significant impact. For example, in 2005, while working for the U.S. Coast Guard, she wrote the Facility Emergency Action Plan policy and guidance documents for more than 800 locations, impacting the safety of more than 40,000 Coast Guard personnel, and providing a 75% reduction in time for each facility to develop its specific facility emergency action plans. During her career, McWilliams also served as chapter officer and Region VI Vice President, and the 1996-97 ASSE President. She is now retired and volunteering her talents in the City of Virginia Beach (VA) Emergency Management Office.
