ASSE Hosts First Global PDCs in Nigeria & India

asses_logoTo address professional development among its members across the globe, ASSE will host its first professional development conference and exposition in Lagos, Nigeria, and Chennai, India, May 21-23, 2014 and May 26-27, 2014, respectively.

The professional development conference and exposition in Nigeria will take place at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. ASSE Nigeria Chapter leadership spearheaded efforts to organize the event that will address not only oil and gas, but topics beyond energy. Its key strategy is to provide professional members and organizations, wherever they operate, the opportunity to form beneficial contacts at face-to-face events. The object is to give a voice to safety around the world to prevent avoidable incident to people, assets and the environment. In addition, the exposition will provide opportunities for Africa SH&E professionals to update their knowledge on safety and related products specific to Africa.

Safety India 2014 will be held at the Leela Palace. It is an opportunity to meet with SH&E professionals from across India with global representation. Safety India 2014 is estimating 500 participants and 20 exhibitors from India and neighboring countries, as well as a postconference seminar on May 28 to discuss the ned for global occupational safety credentials. In addition, participants can hope to gain insights from expert speakers; take away practical, technical knowledge that will be useful to their occupational safety and health initiatives; network; and visit top vendors.
