ASSE Middle East Chapter Call for Abstracts

ASSE’s Middle East Chapter is seeking abstracts for its 11th Professional Development Conference and Exhibition, which will be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain March 15-19, 2014. The conference theme is “Innovative Approaches Toward Emerging SHE Challenges.” The conference hosts a large gathering of professionals and industry representatives from the Middle East and around the world. Topics to be covered include:

  • public perception toward safety and the impact of culture on risk assessments.
  • use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis in risk and safety assessments.
  • aging infrastructure and its impact on safety.
  • emergency response and disaster management.
  • safety economics and sustainable performance.
  • environmental challenges for new economic activities in the region.
  • transportation and traffic/aviation safety.
  • case studies and lessons learned from incidents.
