ASSE Signs Agreements With COSHA & ISHA to Advance Global Safety & Health

ASSE has partnered for the first time with the China Occupational Safety and Health Association (COSHA) and the Industrial Safety and Health Association (ISHA) of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to advance occupational safety in each region. A delegation led by ASSE President Kathy A. Seabrook, CSP, CMIOSH, EurOSHM, met with the leadership team of COSHA in Beijing and leaders of ISHA in Taiwan in November to formalize these alliances.

Memorandums of understandings signed by ASSE, COSHA and ISHA include exploring opportunities to collaborate, exchange technical information and conduct joint educational programs. The partnership will also advance issues and programs that benefit members of all three associations and SH&E professionals in their respective regions. ASSE, COSHA and ISHA aim to provide a better understanding of the needs of emerging markets and the opportunity to learn from their experiences as a result of the partnership.
