ASSE’s Leadership Conference Is Where Membership Experience Comes Together

ASSElogo_featureThe 2016 ASSE Leadership Conference took place in Oakbrook, IL, on Oct. 13-15. During the conference, 223 volunteer leaders from ASSE’s chapter, practice specialty and common interest group communities gathered to network, learn and strengthen their connections with ASSE. Workshops focused on leadership development and the practical skills they need to fulfill their roles.

Sydney Finkelstein shared tips on inspiring the best in others during his keynote on superbosses. New at this year’s conference, attendees had the opportunity to donate items and assemble care packages for families staying at a local Ronald McDonald House, an effort that resulted in more than 275 care packages and $1,200 in cash donations.

“ASSE’s Leadership Conference is where the membership experience all comes together for me: volunteering, leadership, networking, career development, professional development, making new friends, catching up with old friends–a real battery recharge for my safety soul,” says Mike Wolf, an ASSE Chesapeake Chapter member.
