Connie Muncy Among Top 10 Women in Dayton

Connie Muncy, CIH, REM, a professional member of ASSE’s Kitty Hawk Chapter and a member of the Construction Practice Specialty, has been named a recipient of the 50th Annual Dayton Daily News Top Ten Women Award. The award recognizes 10 Dayton-area women for their outstanding professional, community or personal achievements. She was nominated by ASSE Fellow and former Society president Warren Brown, who described Muncy as “an exceptional role model for young professional women . . . successfully dedicating herself to protecting people, property and the environment while fully embracing ethics and technical excellence.”

Asked about the honor of being selected, Muncy says, “I am excited to have been selected . . . particularly since . . . I have such a great passion for mentoring up-and-coming women.” Muncy also was named the Kitty Hawk Chapter’s Safety Professional of the Year in 2011, and ASSE’s Women in Safety Engineering Common Interest Group included her profile its 100 Women in Safety Engineering Making a Difference publication in 2011.
