Courtney Malveaux Named Government Affairs Counsel for VPPPA

Courtney Malveaux has been named government affairs counsel for Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association (VPPPA), a national organization dedicated to workplace safety and health.

Malveaux, a Richmond attorney and member of the Colonial Virginia Chapter, will lead efforts to build state and federal support for OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Programs. He has previously served as Labor Commissioner for the state of Virginia and is the immediate past president of the National Association of Government Labor Officials. He currently serves on Virginia’s Safety and Health Codes Board, which implements OSHA policies.

“We are excited to bring Courtney Malveaux into this lead role for our organization,” says Mike Maddox, VPPPA chair. “Mr. Malveaux brings a breadth of experience on OSHA issues, but more importantly, he understands how to leverage vital partnerships with business leaders, policymakers and other associations. We look forward to having a greater impact at the federal and state level.”
