Explore Mentoring & Networking Opportunities

network_13296501In her June 2015 message, 2014-2015 ASSE President Trish Ennis, CSP, ARM, talks about the projected shortage of qualified OSH practitioners on the horizon as a result of many factors, including the number of people leaving the workforce exceeding the number entering it across many disciplines. She encourages active mentoring; there are several ways ASSE supports mentoring and networking among OSH professionals.

ASSE Mentoring Center

Through its mentoring center, ASSE helps OSH professionals connect to establish mentor/mentee relationships and foster professional growth and development. Register and log in to search through mentor/mentee profiles and initiate contact with those who meet your criteria.

Networking Partners Program

Through the Society’s Networking Partners Program, ASSE members who are seeking employment can connect with a fellow member to help jump-start or recharge their job search. Sign up for the program to be connected with a networking partner in your state who can provide guidance and support through the job searching process.

WISE Mentoring Program

ASSE’s Women in Safety Engineering Common Interest Group hosts a mentoring program. This program helps match new OSH practitioners with experienced OSH professionals. Submit an application to get started.
