A professional member of ASSE’s Northeastern Illinois Chapter, McKillips is director, global commercial environmental, health and safety for Abbott. He has represented Abbott since 2008 as a member of the NETS board of directors. McKillips served as the NETS board chair in 2014 and 2015.

“It is a privilege to have the opportunity to lead NETS at this time,” McKillips says. “I am eager to continue my work with the many talented road safety professionals affiliated with the NETS organization.”

McKillips has more than 26 years’ OSH experience, with an emphasis in process safety, loss prevention and global road safety. He was a participating member of the ANSI/ASSE Z15.1 Accredited Standards Committee on Safe Practices for Motor Vehicle Fleet Operations. In his role as executive director, McKillips will work with NETS’s board of directors to implement the organization’s strategic direction by further developing its fleet safety benchmark program and portfolio of road safety resources.
