New A10 Standard in Development

The A10 standards committee is currently developing a new standard, A10.35, Safe Pressure Testing of Steel and Copper Piping Systems. The goal of the standard is to define safe work practices and testing procedures to those involved in the installation, modification or repair of steel or copper piping systems. Existing standards do not address hazards associated with pressure-testing failures, which can result in injuries and fatalities.

While the chair and vice chair have already been selected, positions in the subcommittee are still available. Those interested in volunteering to serve on the subcommittee, contact Pete Chaney, chair, or Cheryl Ambrose, vice chair.
