New Logo Reflects Foundation’s Mission

After more than 20 years, the ASSE Foundation (ASSEF) has introduced a new logo, a modern and fresh representation of what the Foundation is and does. The logo expresses multiple facets of the organization’s identity with an eye-catching and meaningful design.

Three key words—generosity, growth and safety­—encompass the Foundation’s story. Each is represented by one shield in the logo. The shield shape shows the connection to ASSE; just as the three shields overlap and intersect to form a prominent shield at the center, the Foundation itself is essentially built out of components of ASSE. Unified as such, this strongest shield showcases the collaboration and nurturing side of the Foundation.

The icon is the focal point of the logo, and can be viewed two ways. First, it is a person reading a book, referencing the successful scholarship and grant program, which has to date awarded more than $1.3 million to deserving students and professionals. Second, it is a lantern, pointing more broadly to the Foundation’s overarching orientation toward lighting the way to a safer tomorrow.

Although its logo has changed, the Foundation has not. It is committed to guiding the profession forward, to insisting that safety matters. With its new logo­—youthful, bright and strong—the Foundation is moving forward, eager to bring the safety profession onward and upward.
