Recap of Chicagoland Safety, Health & Environmental Conference

Each year more than 300 OSH professionals, trainers, business managers and HR professionals attend the Chicagoland Safety, Health and Environmental Conference. Organized by three ASSE chapters, the Chicago Section of AIHA and the Chicago Chapter of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professions and planned in association with OSHA, the National Safety Education Center and Northern Illinois University’s College of Engineering and Engineering Technology, the conference offers more than 50 training sessions, networking opportunities and a 1-day business expo, which provided attendees with access to dozens of vendors.

The 27th annual Chicagoland Safety, Health and Environmental Conference, held at the Naperville Illinois campus of Northern Illinois University Sept. 21-24, 2015, offered five session tracks that covered environmental management, general safety, industrial hygiene, OSHA compliance and professional development. Speakers included OSHA compliance specialists, environmental consultants, industrial hygienists and corporate trainers who discussed leading issues including micro learning, adult education, incentive programs, incident investigation and much more.

Next year, the conference will be held Sept. 19-22, 2016, at the Naperville campus of Northern Illinois University. Visit www.chisafetyconf.org  for more information.
